Hitachi's Ice Clean self-cleaning technology is the most thorough evaporator coil cleaning mechanism in the Indian AC market. Unlike conventional self-clean functions that simply run the fan at high speed, Ice Clean deliberately forms ice on the evaporator coil and then rapidly defrosts it — the thermal shock dislodges dust, bacteria, and mold that have accumulated on the coil surface. Hitachi's Kashikoi 5 Sense AI system uses five sensors — temperature, humidity, human presence, sunlight intensity, and outdoor temperature — to create a comprehensive picture of the room's thermal environment.
